Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called out after a walker fell and lost consciousness at Loweswater.
The team said they were called out on Tuesday, June 16, at around 6.40pm to Crab Tree Beck to help the North West Ambulance Service.
The walker had fallen 5m from the road to the lakeshore path, lost consciousness and sustained neck and head injuries.
Paramedics and local first responders had already been able to access the location, make an assessment and treat casualty, who had regained consciousness.
The team said: “The steep fall had landed the casualty on the very narrow lakeshore path among dense woodland.
“Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team worked in the tight space to immobilise and package the casualty, securing them on a stretcher.
“The team then made the short but very steep ascent to the road and into the waiting ambulance.”
