An injured crew member of a vessel in Workington had to be rescued after a fall in the early hours.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team and Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team were called out in the early hours of today to carry out the evacuation of the crew member.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team said: “Arriving on scene, Coastguard rescue officers worked with the vessels crew to extract the casualty by stretcher from the vessel to shore, and into the care of North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.”
