A South Cumbrian charity helping people who are homeless or isolated has received a £5,000 boost.
Persimmon Homes Lancashire donated the money to Kendal-based Manna House through its Community Champions initiative.
The charity operates a drop-in support centre, providing advice and advocacy to help people overcome challenges and build independent lives across South Lakeland.
Representatives from Persimmon recently visited Manna House to present the donation and learn about the charity’s impact.
Andrea Aldridge, chief officer at Manna House, said: “We are grateful to Persimmon Homes for this generous £5,000 donation.
“As an independent charity, support like this is essential in helping us continue our work with people facing homelessness, housing insecurity, poverty and isolation.
“The funding will contribute towards the day-to-day running of our services and ensure we can continue providing practical support, advice and encouragement to those who need it most.
“On behalf of everyone at Manna House, I would like to thank Persimmon for choosing to support our work.”
Graham Jackson, commercial director at Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said: “We are delighted to support Manna House. Their team carries out invaluable work across South Lakeland, supporting people facing a range of difficult circumstances and helping them to access the advice, resources and opportunities they need to move forward.
“We are proud to play a small part in supporting their efforts and look forward to seeing the continued positive impact of their work across the community.”
Persimmon’s Community Champions scheme provides funding to charities, voluntary groups and community organisations.
