Firefighters tackle M6 services lorry blaze

[A]t 3:07pm today, Tuesday 4 July firefighters were called to a lorry fire in the Southwaite Services, southbound on the M6.

Two fire engines from Penrith attended the incident.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews, one wearing a breathing apparatus, put out the fire using a thermal imaging camera and a hose reel jet.”
