
Division 1 leaders United Club A delivered a dominant 5-0 away whitewash over clubmates United Club B, cementing their place at the summit of the top tier.
In the opening frame, Clive Lister was fortunate to edge past Richard Kirkham 53-45 in a tense eventful encounter.
Tony Hindmoor then followed up with a narrow 49-44 win over Andrew Carter, showing composure under pressure. Frame three saw Peter O’Hagan produce a quality finish to defeat Adam Sowden 69-19, putting the away side 3-0 up.
Mark Suitor added to the tally with a classy 76-38 victory against Stephen Harrison, before captain Andrew Mitchelhill sealed the clean sweep with a 64-31 win over Shane Tallentire in the final frame of the fixture.
United A are top of division 1 on 51 points while United B sit fourth in division 2 on 27 points but with a favourable 6 wins out of 14 ratio.

Alan Moore gave Cons an early lead, defeating Mark Brasted 59-51 in a high-quality opener.
But the Golf Club roared back with four straight wins. Brian Walker overpowered Julian Plaza 63-30, before Phil Sorfleet controlled the table in a 71-35 win over David Holland.
Mark Cowen restricted Brian Kendall to just 16 points in a confident 54-16 win, and Simon Fraser completed the comeback with a solid 57-24 triumph over Ryan Barker.
Workington Golf Club still remain bottom of the division 2 table now on 39 points with Cons still top of division 2 now on 39 points.
The third fixture of the week saw Workington Veterans Club A avenge last week’s cup qualifying defeat against opponents The Rack Shack with a 4-1 home victory.
The experienced Mark Tunstall got the home side off to a strong start with a 57-47 win over Adam Morilla, before county champion Kevin Basnett produced a clinical 64-22 win against Lee Dougherty.
Vets A were dominant in the next frame, as Chris McKelvey went down 52-2 for 3-0, and Mark Tatton added the fourth point with a composed 51-43 victory over Andy Moore.

The Rack weren’t to be deterred however as Neil Dougherty snatched a point for Rack Shack in the final frame with a gritty 46-33 win over Paul Smith.
Vets A remain third in division 1 now on 44 points while the Rack Shack sit third in division 2 on 28 points.
Finally, Station Road overcame Maryport Social in a solid 3-2 away win to hang on to their division 1 title hopes.
Tom Thompson kicked things off with a brilliant break of 31 in an 86-22 win over Andrew Scott to put Station Road Club 1-0 up.
Darren Lawson followed suit with a break of 42 as he defeated Maryport’s Andrew Sharp 58-16 for 2-0. Station Road’s John Teasdale kept the momentum going in frame three outplaying Gary Miller 74-33 to extend to 3-0.
But Maryport responded, as Greg Todd punished mistakes from Mike Walker with a solid 53-15 win, before team mate Ben Scott showcased his potting ability to overcome Andrew Henderson 76-46 to pull the score back to a very respectable 3-2.
Station Road stay second in division 1 on 46 points and Maryport Social jump to second place in division 2 on 29 points.
