[A]n 18-year-old man has died after crashing his Mini near Carlisle.
Police were called at 15:19 today (16th April 2017) to a one vehicle collision at Burgh by Sands, Kirkandrews-upon-Eden, Carlisle.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “The vehicle was a black Mini Cooper, driven by an 18-year-old man from Carlisle, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The road is closed while emergency services deal with the incident.”
Update: the road has now reopened.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 and quote log number 141 of 16th April.
