[S]ome of the top ladies’ fashion retailers in Carlisle have joined together to help the Carlisle NSPCC Branch raise much-needed funds for the charity.

The glamorous event – featuring items from Jiggery Pokery Fashion and Accessories and Mani-Stone Cashmere – raised an impressive £1,850 on the night through ticket sales, a ‘Pamper Hamper’ raffle and donations from the retailers.

Mary Graham, Chair of the NSPCC Carlisle Branch, said: “The fashion show was hugely popular and we had almost a hundred guests come in on the day. The clothes on show were all absolutely beautiful as well, so I know lots of people left with a little something by the end of the show.

“I’d like to thank the owners of Jiggery Pokery and Mani-Stone Cashmere for bringing their wonderful clothes for everyone to see, the models for bringing a real sense of glamour to the event, and our guests for making the day such a success.

“Every penny we raised will be going towards helping the NSPCC support vulnerable children in Cumbria and around the UK, and our Branch are thrilled to be helping them provide that support.”
