Two hurt in Maryport crash

[T]wo women have been taken to hospital after a one-vehicle road traffic collision occurred in Maryport.

Police were called at 1:26pm to a crash outside Maryport Cemetery.

The B5300 was blocked at A596/Cross Canonbie junction while police dealt with collision.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “The female driver, aged 19, and female passenger, aged 51, were taken to Cumberland Infirmary to be checked, their injuries are not believed to be serious.”
