[A] Cockermouth-based digital marketing specialist has been invited to take part in Google’s prestigious Elevator programme.

Charlotte Davies has been selected as one of the 30 top-performing Google Partner agencies in the UK. Chosen from 30,000 digital agencies, the invitation to the programme is in recognition of impressive results and growth potential.

Charlotte said: “I am thrilled to have been invited to participate in this exciting programme, and to be recognised by Google as one of the country’s top performers. I am proud to be a Cumbrian business, serving a number of local clients, so it is a real coup for me to be able to help put Cumbria on the map for digital services. It used to be the case that people would immediately look towards places like Manchester and Liverpool when it came to digital, but there has been a definite movement in recent years and Cumbria is certainly becoming a digital hub.”

The Elevator programme is a Google-funded business coaching programme, which runs for six months. It is led by international business speaker, author and growth consultant, Robert Craven, who has worked with global brands such as Barclays and Virgin.

Charlotte has already attended the first of three intensive business coaching days at Google’s London headquarters. She said: “The insights I have gained already in just one day are invaluable – both to my business, my current clients and the clients I will work with going forward. Developing my SEO and paid search skills is something I am really passionate about. It is absolutely vital in the digital industry to continue learning and developing, as the very nature of it is ever-changing.”

Charlotte helps small and medium-sized businesses to grow their traffic and sales through Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and paid search (Google Adwords). She has worked in digital since 1999, launching her business as an SEO and paid search specialist in September 2013. Her impressive roster of clients includes Sally’s Cottages, Cumbria’s Living Heritage, Cedar Manor and The Pheasant. She also works as a specialist advisor for the Cumbria Business Growth Hub.

Charlotte said: “SEO is a fast-changing industry which is both exciting and challenging. I invest a lot of time and resources in CPD – attending industry conferences at least once a year, reading and listening to podcasts, and taking my annual Google exams, as I am a certified Google Partner.

“I believe this and my more personal approach sets me apart from many in the industry and enables my clients to stay ahead of the game where possible. The Elevator programme is something that will certainly help me to develop this further and I am really excited to see what is in store over the next six months.”
