[A] MAN has admitted the illegal possession of a kitchen knife outside a pub in Silloth.
Tom Newton Leigh, 33, faced one offence when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today (FRI).
Leigh pleaded guilty to having a bladed article, without good reason or lawful authority in a public place, outside the Balmoral public house, Criffel Street. He is said to have committed the offence on March 11 this year.
The case was adjourned by Judge Barbara Forrester, who ordered the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Leigh, of Whitworth Park Drive, Houghton-le-Spring, Sunderland, will return to the crown court to receive his punishment on July 21.
In the meantime he was granted bail by the judge.
