[T]he Lakes Distillery, located in the Lake District have appointed 4 new Business Development Managers throughout the UK.
The awareness of the company’s spirits has gone from strength to strength in 2017 with listings in supermarkets across the UK and airports in Australia and New Zealand.
Maria Duddin, Business Development, PR and Events Manager of The Lakes Distillery said: “The Lakes Distillery is not only an award-winning tourist attraction, our spirits are award-winning too.
“With the appointment of the Business Development Manages across the country we hope to see our spirits in a number of different retail and wholesale outlets, therefore allowing our customers to be able to buy the spirits anywhere across the UK.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what our new talented team will do in the upcoming months and what the business as a whole will achieve, after great listings across the world already in 2017.”
The 4 members of the team have been appointed to grow awareness of The Lakes Distillery in both retail and wholesale industries.
The team will now have national coverage with the newly appointed BDM’s being based in Newcastle, Cumbria and Manchester.
Kieron Hall and Clayton Nagel, have been appointed to work from The Lakes Distillery’s head office in Gosforth, Newcastle, to not only work across the North-East but into Scotland as well.
Kieron, has over 13 years’ experience within the hospitality industry, having won NECTA Bartender of the year 2014 and LTI North East Mixologist of the Year 2013.
Kieron said: “I joined with the Lakes distillery because it is a growing brand gaining amazing traction within the industry that I love.
“It shows the best spirits that Britain has to offer, a world class distillery and all of the people that work here are passionate and love what they do.”
Clayton, is an experienced sales professional having previously worked in a number of industries including drinks, publishing and housing, helping businesses develop their marketing strategies, increase brand awareness and grow sales.
“After working in multiple industries to develop and grow businesses, I am excited to bring these skills to The Lakes Distillery and also to see where we are this time next year!” said Clayton.
For Cumbria and the surrounding areas’, The Lakes Distillery have appointed, Chris Pateman.
Having previously worked for Majestic Wines, The Whisky Shop and then onto Remy Cointreau as a Business Development Manager for the North-East of England, Chris has catered for high-end hotels, restaurants and cocktail bars ensuring availability, visibility and activation of spirits.
Chris said: “During my career, I have amassed a network and understanding of the on-trade environment and a huge passion for spirits of all kinds, but particularly whisky, therefore I am excited to bring all of this to The Lakes Distillery and help business growth.”
Another key appointment has been made in Manchester, with the new role starting in autumn.
Throughout the 4 new appointments, all the team bring a wide range of skills and backgrounds to develop relationships with stockists, wholesalers and retailers.
The team are excited to be at Imbibe Live at Olympia London on 3rd and 4th July 2017, therefore giving the on-trade the opportunity to meet the brand-new team.
The team will be taking all their award-winning spirits to the event, including the only British Isles Blended whisky, The ONE, The Lakes Gin, The Lakes Gin Explorer and The Lakes Vodka.
Also, The Lakes Distillery have a brand-new range of Gin Liqueurs and Vodka Liqueurs, to be released this summer.
