Lamont Pridmore celebrates the achievement of Carlisle College students at awards evening

[O]ne of Cumbria’s leading independent firms of Chartered Accountants Lamont Pridmore has helped students at Carlisle College commemorate their achievements by sponsoring the Learner of the Year Awards.

During the evening, held at the college in Victoria Place, three students were presented with awards from Andrew Storey, a client relationship manager at Lamont Pridmore’s Carlisle office, for their hard work and dedication to their studies.

Rebecca Davidson received the Outstanding Achievement in Accounting and Cameron Westmorland was presented with a trophy for Outstanding Achievement in Sport, while Adam Scott went home with an award for Outstanding Achievement in Computing.

Speaking after the event, Andrew said: “It is wonderful to recognise the fantastic work that these three students have put in during their studies at Carlisle College.

“It is clear that each of them is very dedicated to achieving their goals, which will stand them in good stead in the world of work. I am sure they all have very bright futures ahead of them”

Lamont Pridmore has a long history of recognising local talent at schools and colleges near to its offices across the region, which is why it regularly supports awards evenings.

Chris Lamont, Managing Director at Lamont Pridmore’s Carlisle office, said: “We are very proud of our work with local schools and the impact it has on the students studying at them. We believe that it is vitally important that the young people of Cumbria are ready for the world of work, so they can support our fantastic regional economy.”
