[P]olice in Carlisle have arrested three people following warrants conducted in the city this week.
A warrant was conducted on Wednesday 5th July in the Harraby area of the city where a significant amount of cash was found. A 20-year-old man and 53-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of money laundering. They have been released under investigation.
Further money was found at another property in the Harraby area following a warrant this morning (7th July). A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering. The man remains detained for questioning.
The warrants are part of continuous work to target those who seek to make financial gains from criminal activity.
