[A] teenage woman has appeared before District Judge Gerald Chalk sitting at Carlisle Magistrates Court after an attempted murder at an address in Wigton.
Officers were called to Brindlefield at around 10.30pm on Saturday night where a 17-year-old male was found to have suffered suspected stab wounds to his chest.
He was taken to the RVI in Newcastle and remains in hospital today in a serious but stable condition.
Zoe Adams, 19, is charged with attempted murder.
Adams described as a single mother in court, allegedly committed attempted murder of a 17-year-old male friend at her address on Brindlefield, Wigton.
As the judge remanded Adams in custody she started crying, no-plea was taken today.
She will next appear at Carlisle Crown Court on September 4.
