Carlisle Crown Court

[A] TEENAGE thief who stole pedal cycles worth a total of £5,200 has been warned he faces custody.

Cameron Rowe, 18, and Mark Andrew Blamire, 29, each pleaded guilty to five dishonesty charges when they appeared in the dock at Carlisle Crown Court.

The partners-in-crime admitted stealing Trek Domane 4.1 and Corratec cycles from one male; an Orbit Lightning race tandem from another; attempting to burgle a garage at Ashley Way, Egremont; and burglary of a shed at an address on the same street.

All of the crimes are said to have been committed between September 2 and 5 last year.

Rowe, of Heather Bank, Cleator Moor, and Blamire, of no fixed address, will be sentenced for their offending at the crown court on August 29.

Judge Peter Davies granted Rowe bail, but told him that “all sentencing options” – including custody – would be open on that date.

Blamire was remanded in custody by the judge.
