[T]he Kendal office of Rathbones, one of the UK’s leading investment managers, is set to help sponsor the traditional Grasmere Lakeland Sports and Show on the 27th August.
Rathbones Brothers PLC, together with primary sponsor Jennings Brewery, has been named as a major sponsor of the historic event, which is this year entering into its 167th year of running.
The popular show which has run almost continually, aside from two short spells during the first and second world wars, since 1868, features a variety of traditional Cumbrian sporting events including local favourites such as Cumberland wrestling, fell running and hound trailing.
Rathbones are helping to continue the Cumbrian tradition of fell-running by sponsoring the Senior Guides race at the show. Two vital races in the Fell Running calendar.

Tickets to the show are available to buy on the gate for £10 for adults and £5 for children aged between 5-14. Under 5’s enter the show for free.
