[A]t 10:03am today, Tuesday 8 August firefighters were called to a fire under an archway beneath a residential block of flats in Queen Street, Whitehaven.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “The flats were evacuated and crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
“The fire involved an arm chair and flats were ventilated before crews left.”
