[P]olice are investigating a dwelling burglary on Daleview Gardens, Egremont.
Shortly before 01:10 am on the morning of 14th August 2017 the householder was disturbed by an intruder in his house.
The intruder or intruders made off and at some point in the commission of the crime they took his car and abandoned it a short distance away.
Police are appealing for any information to assist them in arresting the person or persons responsible.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “Please can everyone take extra care to lock up doors and windows at night.
“Please also take care not to leave any keys close to the letter box as it is possible that this is how this crime took place.”
