[P]olice have recovered a digger worth £20,000 after it was stolen last night in Kirkbride, and are appealing for information.
Sometime between 5:20pm on 16th August and 8:45am on 17th August, the digger, and a trailer worth £2,000, were stolen from a property in Kirkbride, Wigton.
The digger had a tracker showing that it was in the Wigton area. As a result a number of police officers were deployed to the area, and after an extensive search the digger was located at the railway line.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area, or may have useful information, to get in touch on 101 and quote log number 48 of today. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
