Some individual successes today include:
- Abby Buchanan – 6 A* 1 A, 8 English, 8 English Literature and 8 in maths
- Joel Dixon – 2 A*, 5A, 5 English, 8 English Literature and 9 in maths
- Nathan Johnstone – 4A*, 3A, 8 English, 9 English literature and 8 in maths
- Hannah Wildgoose – 3A*, 5A, 8 English, 8 English literature and 6 in maths
- Melissa King – 3A*, 4A, 9 English, 8 English literature and 7 maths
Principal of Morton Academy Des Bird said: “We are delighted with this set of results which is illustrative of the progress the Academy has made over the last few years. Since 2014 the Academy has increased the percentage of students achieving at least 5 A* to C or equivalent, including English and maths, by around 23 percentage points. We have seen increases in grades achieved in virtually every subject area in the Academy. Such stunning progress is only possible through the commitment and hard work of our students, parents and staff.
“We are so pleased that so many students achieved the grades they were hoping for and I congratulate them all on their achievements today.”
