[A]t 11:50am yesterday, Sunday 10 September firefighters were called to a cow which was stuck in a collapsed drain on an access road in Wickerslack from Crosby Ravensworth, Shap.
Three fire engines, one from Shap and two from Penrith, attended the incident.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews, wearing flood suits, used strops and lines to rescue the cow.
“Crews were at the scene for one hour and 30 minutes.”
