[O]n Thursday the 5th October Penrith & District Farmers’ Mart LLP held there Annual Evening Sale of Bluefaced Leicester Rams and Females.
The Penrith sale went off with a bang with the largest ringside of buyers seen here before. Messrs Lord, Hewgill averaged £4967 topping at £9000 for the Champion which was by G23 Marriforth and was sold to Messrs M W Skidmore Ltd.
Ram Lambs sold to £2500 for the Second prize lamb by H45 Hewgill from the Hewgill Flock again which was purchased by Messrs T P Wigham, Hargill House.
From start to finish all classes of rams were exceptional to sell with all customers going home well impressed with their trade.
