[P]olice are investigating an assault inside a flat in Ellesmere Way, Carlisle, on Monday evening (23 Oct).
Two men have forced their way into an address and assaulted an occupant, striking him over the head with a bottle causing cuts to his back and arm.
The men left the immediate vicinity on foot.
It is believed that the suspects are known to the victim.
