Cumbrian Gift Trade Fair returns

[A] long-running Trade Fair for the giftware retail trade in Cumbria and North Lancashire returns in January with a new name.

Previously known as Cumbrex, the Cumbria Gift Fair is to be held over four days between 7 and 10 January 2018 at The Cumbria Grand Hotel in Grange-over-Sands. The event, which has been running annually for over 30 years, has new organisers and they hope to make the event bigger and better than ever. Thomas Idle, of Leeds based toy and gift distributers S. Gregory and Co and Robin Sadler of gift publishers Cardtoons Publications, near Kirkby Lonsdale have taken the reins of running the show. Both are previous long-time exhibitors and didn’t wish to see the event fold when the former organiser retired.

Thomas Idle says; “We would like to attract a range of new exhibitors and visitors. For the first time we are on Facebook and Twitter and hope to engage more with businesses far and wide. It’s a really exciting move forward.”

“The trade fair is open to independent retailers of giftware from anywhere around the country, but it’s especially useful for businesses on the doorstep in Cumbria, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and the Scottish Borders. Lots of companies now have a retail gift offer, from souvenir shops, tourist attractions, garden centres to hotels and guest houses. So if they’re looking for new ideas for the 2018 Spring and Summer season, then the Cumbria Gift Fair is perfectly timed for them to come and discover what’s new in giftware and to place orders in time for the new season.”

There’s no need for visitors to register, you are welcome to attend on any of the four days. And if you are a giftware manufacturer or distributor, there are still exhibitor spaces available. For further information please call Thomas Idle on 01332 420977 or visit Cumbria Gift Fair online at www.facebook.com/cumbriagiftfair or www.twitter.com/cumbriagiftfair.
