[A]t 1:54pm yesterday, Saturday 11 November firefighters were called to a house fire on Bainbridge Road, Sedbergh.
Three fire engines from Sedbergh, Kendal and Kirby attended and firefighters rescued one casualty from the premises.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “The casualty was suffering from severe burns and received first aid from crews before being conveyed to hospital by air ambulance.
“The blaze was extinguished with a single hose reel while wearing two breathing apparatus.
“Fire crews were on the scene for around two hours.”
