[A] male was in the area of Bridge Lane, Penrith, on Wednesday 22nd November 2017. He was wearing an ID card and a sweatshirt displaying a logo, and he claimed to be in the area fitting direct links from care alarms to the police.
It would appear to be that this male was visiting elderly residents and offering to provide this installation for a fee. Enquiries have revealed that this is likely to be a scam and members of the public are asked to remain vigilant and alert to any such cold callers who may contact them by visiting their address or by phone.
