[A] LOCAL opticians in Carlisle has celebrated 25 years in the heart of the town with a grand reopening of the store, following a £300,000 expansion.

Specsavers on Castle Street was officially reopened its doors on Thursday 14 December by the Mayor of Carlisle, marking the special milestone for the store.

The new look store, which has doubled in size to have six testing rooms and a separate hearing centre next door, will allow the team to boost their eye care and audiology services.

Glenn Rowe, store director of Carlisle Specsavers, says: ‘We were proud to celebrate Specsavers’ contribution to the local community as well as thanking all of our customers for their support over the years.’

Glenn adds: ‘We are extremely committed to providing the best quality service when it comes to both eye care and audiology, and with the new facilities available in store, we aim to continue this commitment.’
