M6 Southbound reopen after woman killed

[U]pdate: The M6 between junctions 36 and 35 is now open.

The planned closure to the M6 southbound, junctions 36-35, today (19th December), at 11am, is a partial closure.

Following a collision in the early hours of this morning, lanes one and two are currently closed for a police survey . Lane three will remain open.

The closure is for a police survey, following a collision that occurred in the early hours of this morning.

The incident occurred at 00:30am, and involved a pedestrian and a HGV.

The female pedestrian was taken to hospital, but later died. The HGV driver is helping police with their enquiries.
