Man punched unconscious in York McDonald’s attack

Police want to speak to this man

[O]fficers investigating an assault in a York takeaway have released images of a man they want to speak to about the incident.

A 20-year-old man was in McDonald’s in Blake Street with his mother when a man approached him and began talking to him.

He then punched the victim in the face, knocking him unconscious. He regained consciousness and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The offender ran off towards St Sampson’s Square.

The incident took place at around 5am on Thursday, 21 December 2017.

Police would like to speak to a man pictured by CCTV as part of their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him or has any other information about the incident should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Hanneke Hart. You can also email PC Hart on [email protected]
