[P]OLICE investigating an alleged assault on a 13-year-old boy by another youth are appealing for witnesses.
The alleged assault took place in Sainsbury’s car park in Penrith at around 9pm on Monday 29th January, with the 13-year-old having been punched numerous times.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police have identified a 16-year-old boy who is suspected of being responsible. He is due to be voluntarily interviewed this week.
“Officers are grateful to have been given information about the incident, including mobile phone footage. However, it is believed there were other witnesses to the incident who have yet to come forward.”
