Police and HSE investigating man’s death in Carlisle

[C]umbria Constabulary and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the death of a 64-year-old man at Michael Douglas Auto Salvage Ltd in Carlisle yesterday (15 Feb).

The death occurred when a customer became trapped by a piece of machinery. Mr Paul Spence, 64, was treated by North West Ambulance Service and the air ambulance but sadly died at the scene.

The family of Mr Spence have been informed.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have information in regards to the incident who has yet to come forward.
