[T]he writing-for-performance group North Cumbria Scriptwriters is running a playwriting competition for short plays that they are calling “Picture the Scene”, for local writers. The winners’ scripts will be performed by local dramatic groups at the famous Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, Cumbria, one evening in the autumn this year.
The deadline for receiving scripts was February 28th but, with the help of the Theatre, this has been extended to March 31st.
The plays they are looking for will be 30 minutes long, will need no more than 6 actors, and will have little or no scenery. They must be inspired by a picture chosen by the writer (not the one here! – that’s just an example). For rules and details, please see:
