[A] man has appeared by video-link at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Carlisle to face allegations of sexual assaults on young girls.
Alan Wilson, 68, was charged with three-counts of indecent assault on a girl aged under 14, one charge of indecent assault on a girl aged under 16, one charge of rape on a girl aged under 16, one attempted rape also on a girl aged under 16 and one charge of gross indecency with a girl aged under 14-years-old.
Wilson gave his home address as Coombefield Road, Wickhamfolrd, Evesham, Worcestershire.
The seven-allegations are from various ‘historical’ dates ranging from April 13, 1978 to December 1, 1980, the court lists show that the allegations took place in Carlisle.
Mr Wilson entered not-guilty pleas to the allegations, he will next appear at Carlisle Crown Count on April 3, he was granted unconditional bail until then.
