Becks Skinner

[B]ecks Skinner has worked in the heritage sector for the past nine years, joining Keswick Museum from Crofton Beam Engines in Wiltshire where she was responsible for developing a project to conserve the buildings and develop a wider audience.

She previously was Director of the Army Medical Services Museum during the busy 1st World War Commemorations.

Whilst with the Airborne Assault Museum as Assistant Curator she wrote her book ‘British Paratrooper 1940-45’. She is currently studying for her Masters in International Heritage Management with the University of Birmingham.  In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs, a range of crafts and a passion for vintage.

Becks Skinner, Manager Keswick Museum said: “Having studied  at St Martins College in Lancaster, I have fond memories of walking in the Lake District at the weekends.  I’m really looking forward to living in Cumbria and the opportunity to manage a great collection and visitor venue such as Keswick Museum.”
