
A major project to resurface a road in Brampton is set to start this month.
Connect Roads, on behalf of Cumberland Council, will begin work on the A6071 on Friday, July 17.
Work is expected to last for 14 days, subject to weather and site conditions.
A number of road closures will be in force for the work to be carried out.
Diversions will be in place.
There will be no access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians or dismounted cyclists during the closure periods.
The work will be carried out in phases on the A6071.

Carlisle Road to Front Street junction
- Friday, July 17 6pm to midnight
- Saturday July 18 8am to 8pm
- Sunday July 19 9am to 8pm
Front Street junction to Union Lane junction
- Monday July 20 8am to 8pm
- Tuesday July 21 8am to 8pm
- Wednesday July 22 8am to 8pm
The Nook to The Sands
- Thursday July 23 8am to 8pm
- Friday July 24 8am to 8pm
- Saturday July 25 8am to 8pm
- Sunday July 26 9am to 8pm
- Monday July 27 8am to 8pm
Union Lane junction to The Nook
- Tuesday July 28 7pm to 6am
