[N]ow in its 14th year, “Cars at the Castle Classic Car Tour” will be setting off from Appleby-in-Westmorland’s spectacular 12-15th century castle on Saturday 12 May.
The cars will form a cavalcade from 9am, along the sweeping carriageways within the castle grounds, making an impressive display of cars including British post-war sports cars from Austin-Healey, Jaguar, MG, Morgan and Triumph; saloons from Austin, Daimler, Morris, Rolls Royce and Wolseley but also some exciting moderns from Aston Martin, Mercedes and Porche.
All are welcome to enter the castle grounds, free-of-charge, to view the expected 50 or more cars, which will drive away at one minute intervals with last car leaving about 11am, through the beautiful and historic market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland.”
