[P]olice are investigating incidents of criminal damage to vehicles belonging to residents in the Denton Holme area of Carlisle.

Of most concern is a smashed windscreen to a vehicle parked at the cul-de-sac at the top of Nelson Street junction with Dalston Road on the 16/04/18, time not known, but there have been other similar offences where a number of cars parked in and around this area had their tyres slashed.  Other vehicles have been reported damaged nearby in the vicinity of Silloth Street.

Two teenage males wearing tracksuits on bikes have been witnessed interfering with vehicles in the aforementioned cul-de-sac at the rear of Weardale Road but remain unidentified.  These males may also be trying the handles of parked cars in an attempt to steal insecure property.

Witnesses are sought to these offences and the public are advised to park in well-lit areas in plain view and avoid leaving cars overnight in more secluded spots.

Anyone with information should call PCSO Peter Murphy on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
