
[C]ockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called just after 1pm yesterday (5th May 2018) after a 42-year-old woman from the Glasgow area had slipped on the path beside Crummock Water, sustaining an ankle injury.
A spokesman for Cockermouth MRT said: “She was treated by the team and team doctor, before being stretchered to an NWAS land ambulance and taken to hospital in Whitehaven.
“The rescue involved 21 members of the Team and lasted around 2.5 hours.”
