[B]usiness students at Lakes College West Cumbria are celebrating the upcoming Royal Wedding by hosting two exciting charity events in May – a very British afternoon tea and a glamorous fashion show.
The Royal Wedding themed afternoon tea will be taking place on Wednesday 16th May and aims to raise money for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, a charity which provides high quality, palliative and end of life care to people living in West Cumbria.
With two sittings one at 11am and another at 12.45pm the event will be held in the highly rated Graduates Restaurant (located in the college) and promises to showcase the talented catering students at Lakes College.
Tickets for the event are a bargain at just £10 per head, and can be purchased at the main reception at Lakes College. All funds will go directly to Hospice at Home West Cumbria and take-away bags will also be available for £6.
Jeanette McCallig (Lakes College lecturer) commented: “The level 3 business students have organised this event as part of their course in collaboration with the catering and hospitality students. I am very proud of their work so far and look forward to seeing the hard work pay off on the day.”
