[T]o celebrate the diverse wildlife in the area Ullswater Steamers are running FREE events for kids and families this May. Discover fascinating facts, meet the experts and get hands on with some nature activities hosted by conservation charities Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Penrith & District Red Squirrel Group.
The activities will take place in the pier house at Glenridding. which is the ideal starting point to walk up to Aira Force Falls, along a clearly sign posted footpath, the Falls have further wildlife trails to explore. The Ullswater Steamer stops at Aira Force pier for a return journey to Glenridding by boat. Cumbria Wildlife Trust will be joining Ullswater Steamers on 12 May and Penrith & District Red Squirrel Group will be running activities on the weekend of 26-27 May.
