[A]rmathwaite Hall, the luxury spa resort on the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake, had the pleasure of presenting a cheque of £241.25 last week to Keswick Mountain Rescue. Pictured here is Roberta Griffiths, Spa Director at Armathwaite Hall, presenting the cheque to Ian Chambers (left), Treasurer of Keswick Mountain Rescue and member of Bassenthwaite Rotary Club, and Martin Bellarby, a previous team member at Keswick Mountain Rescue and member of the Rotary Club.
Set in the glorious mountains of Keswick, Armathwaite Hall is a stunning spa hotel with a team dedicated to keeping the mountains of the Lake District a safe, peaceful spot for explorers. For this reason, the team at Armathwaite Hall took part in a Tiger Boat Race on Saturday 22nd July 2017 with the aim of raising funds for Keswick Mountain Rescue, Armathwaite Hall’s chosen charity. The race was arranged by the Rotary Club of Bassenthwaite, giving teams involved the chance to donate to their charity of choice.
The Armathwaite Hall team, dubbed ‘The Armathwaite Army’, raised £482.50 altogether at the race which was then halved between the Rotary Club and Keswick Mountain Rescue.
Keswick Mountain Rescue is an organisation that works tirelessly, day and night, 365 days a year, to assist those in distress and lost in the mountains of Keswick. The organisation is close to the hearts of those at Armathwaite Hall, where loyal guests return year after year to explore the Lake District on foot. By supporting Keswick Mountain Rescue, who have completed 3,602 rescues since being founded, Armathwaite Hall can assure its guests that they are in safe hands when exploring the mountains.
