Join in a walk for local wildlife at the Cross Bay Walk Challenge for Cumbria Wildlife Trust this June.

[B]ookings are open for the 2018 Cross Bay Walk Challenge for Cumbria Wildlife Trust, which takes place on the afternoon of Saturday 9 June. Cedric Robinson MBE, Queen’s Guide to the Sands, will lead the iconic walk across Morecambe Bay, from Arnside to Kents Bank.

The walk, which is about 8 miles long, will include spectacular scenery and is a great event for all the family. All the money raised will go towards the conservation of Cumbria’s wildlife and wild places.

Andrea Simpson of Cumbria Wildlife Trust, says: “Every year hundreds of walkers join us at this wonderful event, to raise money for Cumbrian wildlife. We’re delighted to once again offer people the chance to support the Trust, while enjoying a great day out in the stunning surroundings of Morecambe Bay, with expert guide Cedric Robinson.”

Advanced booking is essential. Visit www.cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk to complete an entry form or call 01539 816300. Registration is at 12.30pm and the walk starts at 1.30pm. The walk costs £12.50 for adults and £7.50 for children. This includes a free t-shirt and official certificate from Cedric Robinson MBE for each participant and walkers are encouraged to raise sponsorship.
