[S]tagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire has announced the appointment of a new Operations Director
Tom Waterhouse, has been promoted internally, having previously held the position of Operations Manager at Stagecoach East responsible for both their Cambridge & Fenstanton depots. He joins the senior management team, based in Carlisle on the 1st June.
Tom began his career with Stagecoach in 2009, having joined the Graduate Management Programme. After successfully completing the scheme, he took up his first Operations Manager position in December 2011, joining Stagecoach South in Winchester. In 2013 he moved to become Operations Manager for Bedford depot in Stagecoach East, before progressing to Operations Manager of their Cambridge depot in September 2013. In 2016, Tom also took on the additional responsibility for Fenstanton depot, including the delivery of services on the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway.
Tom will be responsible for overseeing operations across five depots throughout Cumbria and North Lancashire, including the Lake District National Park that has recently been adopted as a World Heritage Site. Tom will lead 600 staff, 276 vehicles carrying over 23 million passengers across a mixture of local, urban and intercity routes.
