[A]ward-winning housebuilder, Story Homes, has expanded its successful apprenticeship programme, and is taking on four new Technical apprentices for 2018.
Along with apprenticeships in Joinery and Bricklaying (which have now closed for applications) this means that the business has committed to taking on six apprentices in 2018.
Story Homes is currently recruiting for the following Technical Apprentice roles:
- Two Technical Design apprentices (Carlisle office)
- One Technical Design apprentice (Chorley office)
- One Technical Engineer apprentice (Carlisle office)
Story Homes’ focus on recruiting apprentices forms part of its ongoing commitment to investing in and developing young talent. Its apprenticeship programme, alongside its graduate scheme and work experience offered, is a key element of its strategy to ensure it can achieve its ambitious future plans, as well as making a contribution towards closing the skills gap in the industry.
The developer’s Aspire Apprenticeship Scheme, first launched in 2016 and aims to recruit the brightest and most passionate school and college leavers from 16 years and upwards. Apprentices undertake a full development programme which includes working towards an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3, on-the-job training and the potential to move into trainee site management at the end of the programme.
