Carlisle man admits making indecent images of children

[A] Carlisle man has attended Carlisle Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children.

The offences occurred between July 3, 2011 and March 31, 2018.

David Halliburton, 59, and his address as Lightfoot Drive, Harraby.

He faces three-charges of making indecent photograph/pseudo photos of children in Carlisle.

The categories of the photos are namely 74 images of category A; 112 images in category B; with 23-plus images in category C. [category A, is the most serious of indecent images] The court was told some of the images were very unpleasant.

The court was told how Halliburton gave his laptop to a friend as he was planning to fly to the Philippines to see his partner, his friend discovered the indecent images and contacted the police.

Halliburton was later arrested at Manchester Airport.

He will next appear before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court on July 6, he was granted conditional bail, and he has to sign in the interim on the register of the sex-offenders register.
