[A]t 3:13pm yesterday, 25 June firefighters were called to Sellafield after a minor chemical spill.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Approximately 25 litres of nitric acid had spilled and firefighters, wearing gas tight suits and breathing apparatus, applied sodium bicarbonate to neutralise the acid.
“Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours.”
