Police want to speak to this man

The incident occurred at a residential property, on Netherend Road, Penrith, on Wednesday 4th July 2018, between 2:55pm and 3:25pm.

Entry was gained through an insecure back door. Nothing was taken during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5ft 5” tall, around 45-50 in age, of stocky build, clean shaven, short-dark hair which is thinning on top. He was wearing a short-sleeved white shirt with black or navy knee length shorts and black shoes (no socks), he was carrying a white A5 sized envelope.

Investigating officer, Gilian Eilbeck said: “With the weather set to remain warm over the next few weeks I would like to remind residents to make sure they lock their doors when going in and out of the house, no matter for how brief a period.

“If you see anyone acting suspiciously on your street, or outside yours, or a neighbour’s property, contact police on 101 to report any concerns, or dial 999 to report a crime in progress.”

Police would like to speak to the male pictured in the CCTV footage.

If anyone has any information regarding this incident or the man pictured please contact with PC 2317 Eilbeck on 101, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
