Eden District Council Chairman, Mary Robinson presents cheques to representatives of her chosen charities the Great North Air Ambulance and Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland following fundraising activities during the past 12 months.

[T]wo local charities are benefitting from £4,200 of funding which was raised at Eden District Council Chairman’s Community Volunteers Dinner held on 4 May 2018 and a Christmas Carol Concert last December.

The two charities are Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland and the Great North Air Ambulance, who will each receive around £2,140 to put towards the excellent services they provide for the local area.

Eden District Council’s Chairman, Mary Robinson said: “I am absolutely delighted that the Community Volunteers Dinner and the Christmas Carol Concert have raised a sizable amount of money to benefit my two chosen charities.

“I would again like to thank all the people who have kindly supported our funding raising activities last year by donating auction prizes, supplying food and drinks for events or simply offering their time to help organise activities. Your contributions have made a real difference to these charities.”
