[A]rmed police are currently at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate after a woman was attacked inside the hotel.
Shortly after 11.10am on Monday 23 July 2018 police officers on Deansgate were flagged down by a woman with serious injuries to her neck.
A spokesman for GMP said: “The woman has been taken to hospital where she is being treated for lacerations to her neck.
“Four men, aged 20, 24, 26 and 26 and two women, aged 17 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
“They are all in custody for questioning and enquiries are ongoing.
“Scenes remain in place inside one of the hotel rooms and outside the hotel itself.
“This is not thought to be terrorism related nor thought to be a random attack.”
