[A] WOMAN accused of intending to pervert the course of justice by “removing a dead man’s body” from her Carlisle home has appeared in court.
Victoria Louise Blair, 32, faces one charge arising out of an alleged incident on Friday November 17 last year. This alleges that she committed an act/series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice.

The charge goes on to allege that Blair, of Borland Avenue, Botcherby, “removed a deceased male’s body” from her home, “intending to conceal the fact” she was supplying the drug Xanax from that address.
Blair did not enter a plea to the charge, speaking only to confirm her name, date of birth and nationality during the short hearing.
Magistrates sent her case to Carlisle Crown Court, where Blair will appear on August 31. In the meantime she was granted unconditional bail.
Police have previously stated that emergency services attended Borland Avenue at 6-30pm on November 17 last year. A male found outside an address was pronounced dead at the scene.
